Google GDC Teaser Promises ‘Future of Gaming’
The Games Developers Conference (GDC) is just around the corner and before that Google has released a video showing what it thinks is the future of gaming. In this slick video, which was first put out in Google’s official Twitter handle, we see a bunch of hallways set in a sci-fi, fantasy, and racing-themed areas. Honestly speaking, the video doesn’t really tell us much about Google’s vision for the future of gaming, but grapevine has it that the company is planning to launch its own game streaming device in the near future and this video is indicative of that.
It is highly likely that announcement of the new game streaming device would be made at the GDC and all the activities on various social media platforms seems to indicate that. For instance, Google’s Senior Vice President, Hardware, Rick OSterloh tweeted about the event, which has already set the rumor mills buzzing with the possible launch of a new gaming device from Google at the GDC. The company has also put a placeholder page for a possible announcement of some sort in Google Play Store.
The announcement, if at all, it happens, would take place on March 19th at 10AM PT/1PM ET at Google’s GDC Keynote. So hold your breath till then.
