Top 5 Game Launches for August 2019

July is coming to an end and it did see many big launches happening. Now it’s the turn of August to replicate July’s feat. But would it be able to? That’s the big question. So what are the game launches that might take place in August 2019 for platforms like Xbox, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC? Let’s have a look, shall we.

Maaden NFL 20:

Launch Date: August 2

Platforms: PS4, Xbox One and PC

Some people already played the Madden NFL 20, but the game officially launches on August 2nd. EA is going all out to sell this game, but since this is the only American football game worth speaking of, we believe it would do well no matter what. Not because the game is good or otherwise, but because of lack of competition. This time the game gets Face of the Franchise mode, which takes the player from playing college football to proper professional NFL.

Age of Wonders: Planetfall:

Launch Date: August 6

Platforms: PS4, Xbox One and PC

Age of Wonders is now moving into sci-fi. This particular theme has been tried before by games like Civilization: Beyond Earth, but they failed miserably. Will Age of Wonders: Planetfall be any different? We believe so. With six playable factions and procedurally generated maps which creates biomes diversity and lots of resources, the game does show some promise.

World of Warcraft Classic:

Launch date: August 27

Platforms: PC

World of Warcraft Classic takes you back. Like really. The game looks and plays just like older World of Warcraft games. Existing subscribers of World of Warcraft gets access to this game at no additional cost.

Astral Chain:

Launch date: August 30

Platforms: Ninetendo Switch

Battle monsters as a police officer chained to a weapon called legion. You also get to travel to astral plane where monsters originate. Like all of Platinum Game’s launches, Astral Chain also promises to be a surprise.

The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan:

Launch date: August 30

Platforms:

PS4, Xbox One and PC

This game has a lot in common with Until Dawn since it was developed by the same group of people. The player will find himself trapped in a ghost ship and will have to make your way through solving many mysteries.
